Albion Women were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield following late heartbreak at Keys Park.
With injuries to goalkeepers Charlotte Clarke and Mackenzie Haydn-Jones, new loan signing Anna Miller stepped in alongside striker Delphi Cole for a pair of Baggies debuts on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts were dealt a blow when, just a few minutes into the game, Ash Brown was forced off with injury and replaced by Izzy Green.
It was Huddersfield who had the first real opportunity on 25 minutes, Britt Sanderson shooting over the bar after being played through on goal.
Before half time Cole then came close to putting Albion in front, but she was unable to find the target despite creating a couple of decent chances.
Albion began the second period strongly, Abi Loydon whipping the ball into the box for it to be scrambled against the post. Minutes later Cole beat her marker and found Stamps, however she headed narrowly wide.
The Baggies were eventually rewarded for their persistence, though, with a goal just ahead of the hour mark. Captain Hannah George swung a cross into the box and found Jess Davies, who headed home from close range.

With twenty minutes remaining, the visitors made a triple change - taking off Arabella Suttie, Beth Stanfield and Hannah Langford for Georgia Marshall, Alice Linsell and Mia Parry as they chased an equalising goal.
And the Terriers found their leveller three minutes from time. The move started with Kate Mallin breaking the offside trap and laying the ball off to Serena Fletcher. Her cross found Linsell, whose initial shot was saved by Baggies keeper Anna Miller, yet the rebound was followed up by Sanderson.
During added time both teams had opportunities to win it. First Delphi Cole hit the foot of the post, then Huddersfield had a penalty claim waved away - but the contest ended 1-1.
The Baggies now have two home games in the space of 10 days, beginning with Lye Town Ladies in the Birmingham FA County Cup quarter final on Sunday, February 19, and hosting Boldmere St. Michaels in the league on Wednesday, February 22.
