ALBION’s under-23s earned a 1-1 draw with Norwich City in a Premier League 2 clash at Carrow Road.
Alex Bradley gave away a penalty to Norwich on 10 minutes, but Baggies goalkeeper Brad House produced a fantastic save down to his left to keep out Todd Cantwell’s effort from 12 yards.
House was in inspired form as 15 minutes later he made a double save to keep the game goalless.
With 41 minutes gone Albion then took the lead when Evan Pierce managed to find the bottom corner with a low shot.
Norwich equalised two minutes later, though, when Glenn Middleton latched onto a knock-down from a corner to head into the back of the net.
After the break the Baggies were awarded a penalty themselves when Callum Morton was brought down by Grant Hanley, but Bradley’s powerful spot-kick was saved by Aston Oxborough.
Both sides had chances to win the game, most notably when Nick Clayton-Phillips headed over in added time, but the teams had to settle for a point each.
ALBION: House, Soleman, Ferguson, Jameson, Harmon (Melbourne, 55); Clayton-Phillips, Chambers, Bradley, McCourt (Brown 75); Morton (Azaz 55), Pierce.
Substitutes: Pryzbek, Martinez.
