Albion suffered a 4-0 defeat away at Middlesbrough in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division on Sunday.
Four second-half goals from Holly Manders, Ellie Dobson, Leonie Hutchinson and Emma Foster were enough to condemn Louis Sowe's side to defeat.
The Baggies will take heart from an impressive first-half display, which saw them hold last season's league runners-up at the interval.
Both Justine Buckmire and Lauren Price had efforts on goal for Albion, while at the other end Hollie Nelson produced a fine save to tip away a swirling effort from Boro's Emily Scarr.
Yet it was the hosts who broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Manders curled home a 20-yard free-kick.
Just four minutes later it got worse for Albion when Dobson doubled Boro's advantage after slotting the ball past keeper Nelson.
Hutchinson fired in a third after 66 minutes, before Foster scrambled the ball home from close range with just 10 minutes remaining to secure the points for Middlesbrough.
