Albion Under-18s saw off the challenge of Stoke City on Saturday, beating the Potters 3-2 at the training ground.
A ferocious first-half yielded five goals; Finley Thorndike hit a double for the Baggies either side of Jacob Wakeling’s goal to put Albion three ahead after less than 20 minutes.
The Potters hit a quick-fire double before the half-hour mark, with Adam Porter and Andre Goderinne finding the net, but the young Throstles held on to their lead to secure a second home victory in the Under-18 Premier League North season.
