Academy sides finalise pre-season schedules

Albion’s development teams have confirmed their pre-season plans ahead of the 2024/25 season. 

Richard Beale’s Under-21s kick off preparations with an away match against Hereford on Saturday, July 13. They then follow this up with a tour of Slovenia from the 15th-20th - culminating in a friendly against Croatian outfit Dinamo Zagreb - before further friendlies with Stratford Town, Rushall Olympic and Leicester City back on English soil.

Like the Baggies’ young pros, the Under-18s also begin their warm-up matches on the 13th when they travel to Swindon Town. Leigh Downing’s team then play Blackburn Rovers on the 20th prior to touring Czechia from the 23rd-28th, where they'll compete in a tournament involving academy sides from Dynamo Kyiv, Slovan Bratislava, Banik Ostrava, Gornik Zabrze and FC Zlin.  

And the scholars will conclude their list of friendlies with August games against Stoke City and Derby County.
