Albion Women were beaten 5-0 by Rugby Borough in an FA WNL Northern Premier Division clash at the Valley Stadium on Sunday.
The Baggies offered plenty throughout, but a ruthless opposition performance condemned them to just their second defeat of the campaign.
Siobhan Hodgetts-Still's squad are back in action next weekend, when they face Burnley away.
The head coach made a singular change to the XI that beat Sporting Khalsa comfortably at The Hawthorns last week, as Ali Miller came in for summer recruit Seren Watkins.
Despite the Baggies’ energetic start to proceedings, the visitors opened the scoring through Lily Greenslade, who struck a powerful effort from just inside the Baggies half, evading Anna Miller.
Rugby soon added another long-range strike to their tally, as Yasmin Mosby rifled a free-kick into the top corner from 25 yards out.
Mosby grabbed her second, and Rugby’s third, just after the break – tapping home following a fast break.
And the away team grabbed another when Angelina Nixon volleyed in from close range.
Despite the Baggies’ attempts to get back into the game through Marli Rhodes-Andrews and Kate Evans, Borough did also score a fifth - leaving Hodgetts-Still’s side empty-handed.
