Albion duo Dara O'Shea and Jayson Molumby both started in the Republic of Irelend's friendly clash with Norway on Thursday, in which they fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Aviva Stadium.
Leo Ostigard scored the first goal of the game just ahead of half-time before the hosts fought back in the second half, levelling through Alan Browne's stunning long-range strike.
However, there was late heartbreak for Albion's international pair, as Ohi Omoijuanfo netted the winner in the 85th minute to claim the spoils for Norway.
The Republic of Ireland have a chance to bounce back on Sunday evening when they travel to face Malta at the Ta' Qali National Stadium (ko 7pm).
