Inspire Afrika Programme set to restart in July 2025

A picturesque scene.

The Albion Foundation will be participating in the Inspire Afrika volunteering trip next year, for the first time since 2018, and there’s room for you to join too.

Inspire Afrika organises impactful volunteer trips to Kenya, where you can contribute to improving the environment of the school and enriching the lives of local children.

Volunteers can help with building work, support educational activities and enjoy playing sports with local pupils during free time.

The Albion Foundation last visited Africa six years ago, with a handful of Albion fans helping to build a school and decorate a classroom in Nakuru, Kenya.

This time, we’re hoping to extend our efforts in Malindi, a large, eastern town on the coast of Kenya with the trip will taking place between Saturday, July 19 and Thursday July 31, 2025.

Volunteers work on a school.

Neil Burns, co-founder of Inspire Afrika, believes the opportunity is one that participants will create lifelong memories whilst there.

“This is a chance to make a lasting difference in the community while experiencing the beauty of Kenya and building unforgettable memories.”

Jonathan Ward, Deputy Director at The Albion Foundation says this trip is the perfect occasion to help support another local community.

“I’m delighted for The Albion Foundation to support such a beneficial trip. It’s a perfect opportunity for us to extend our excellent community work to Kenya.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity and would provide a great balance between helping their community whilst also enjoying a unique experience in Kenya. I would encourage any Albion fan to participate in this trip and to help make a difference in Malindi.”

If you think helping to provide a safe and vibrant learning space for children in Kenya would be the type of opportunity for you, then join us at the launch event at The Hawthorns on Monday, October 21 at 7:45pm.
