Albion drew 1-1 at Luton Town to share the Sky Bet Championship spoils on Friday evening.
Josh Maja’s magical first-half goal was cancelled out by Tahith Chong’s 60th minute strike, meaning it ended level in Bedfordshire.
The Baggies return home this Thursday, hosting Burnley and looking to end a run of five successive draws.
Carlos Corberán made four changes to his XI, bringing in Mason Holgate and Callum Styles for their maiden starts, as well as Jed Wallace and Karlan Grant.
The visitors were put under pressure during much of the opening period. Luton created their most notable chances around the midway mark via Carlton Morris and Elijah Adebayo, who both saw various efforts saved by Alex Palmer.
And while Grady Diangana did have a tame volley stopped on 43 minutes, it wasn’t until first-half added time that the Baggies burst into life.
A well-worked move involving Darnell Furlong, Grant and Maja let Albion’s No.9 get among the goals again, brilliantly backheeling home a low KG cross for 0-1.
Uros Racic had a free-kick held when play restarted, however the next goal came from the hosts - Chong latching onto a loose pass and firing low past Palmer to equalise.
They had momentum yet still needed to be wary of Albion, with Holgate’s bravely blocked shot a strong reminder despite Corberán’s men not seeing too much ball.
The boss introduced Tom Fellows alongside Devante Cole, and later Jayson Molumby and Mikey Johnston, in an attempt to swing the momentum.
Johnston hit one wide 10 minutes before the end, as did Luton’s Liam Walsh, though Town’s Daiki Hashioka headed the best opportunity against the post late on.
Cole’s acrobatic effort nearly stole it but, ultimately, neither team managed a winner and the points were split at Kenilworth Road.
