Albion’s U18 side suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Brighton on Saturday.
The visitors made a confident start in the West Midlands and took the lead as early as the seventh minute through Shane Nti.
Brighton had a couple of further chances to increase their advantage, but were unable to do so.
The Baggies came back into the encounter in the middle of their first period and threatened a leveller on more than one occasion.
The second half was evenly-contested, with both teams pushing for the game’s second goal.
Sadly for the Albion boys, that second goal never came and Brighton returned home with all three points.
