Albion's U18s were defeated on the opening day of the 2024/25 season against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from Olabade Aluko, Laolu Omobolaji, and a brace from Jake Evans gave Leigh Downing's team an uphill task heading in at the break.

Still, they responded well and found two quick-fire goals in five second-half minutes to halve the deficit, with Dan Chimeziri on-hand both times to set up a young Baggies trialist for a brace following his introduction off the bench.

Despite the pressure and positive momentum built by the home team, Josh King converted another penalty for the Foxes nine minutes from time to claim the points during the first game of the U18 Premier League Division South season.

Albion: Brady (GK), Maughan, Dupont, Morrish, Sears (Letlat 74), Trialist A (Blackshields 63), Crowther, Chimeziri, Parmar, Onyemachi, Okorodudu (Trialist B 46).
