Albion U18s were beaten 4-2 at Leicester City on Saturday.
The young Baggies raced into a two-goal lead inside the opening 23 minutes thanks to an own goal and an effort from Noah Dupont.
The Foxes pulled one back in the 49th minute and went on to score three more goals inside the next 13 minutes.
Leigh Downing's group return to action on Tuesday night - an FA Youth Cup fifth-round tie at Norwich City.
