Bio

Northern Ireland international Shan Turner is set for her debut campaign at Albion after signing from rivals Wolves.

Born in Acocks Green, Birmingham, Shan began her career at Birmingham City before moving to Midlands side Boldmere St Michaels in search of more playing time.

During her three seasons with Black Country rivals Wolves, Shan won the Birmingham County FA Challenge Cup and FA WNL Northern Premier Division title, securing the league’s Top Goalkeeper Award in that season after conceding just 16 goals.

Turner left Molineux a full international with Northern Ireland after being called up to their squad for UEFA Women's Euro 2022, though did not make an appearance at that tournament.

Shan would eventually be called upon to make her national team bow, though, and was handed her debut by head coach Andrew Waterworth in a friendly against Wales.

Turner made 10 appearances in her final season for Wolves and joins Albion in search of regular playing time in 2024/25 as she battles with Anna Miller for the No.1 spot.
