Teenage striker expected to be out for six-to-nine months
ADIL Nabi faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury.
Then 19-year-old striker was substituted in the 13th minute of an Albion XI’s 2-1 defeat at Telford last weekend after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
David Oldfield, Albion’s senior professional development coach, said: “Adil was enjoying a productive pre-season and we’re all devastated for him.
“The rehab time for this kind of injury is six to nine months but we’ll have a better idea of how long he will be out for when he sees a surgeon next week.
“Adil will be in safe hands with our medical staff and we’ll give him all the support he needs on the road to recovery.”
