And boss predicts Sessegnon 'goal blast'
STEVE Clarke is ready to unleash Scott Sinclair after admitting he has caught his eye in training this week.
The Baggies winger has spent the last few weeks getting up to scratch following his recovery from the torn hamstring he suffered at Old Trafford in late September.
And he could now make a return to action in tomorrow’s trip to Cardiff (ko 3pm).
“Scott’s been out a long time,” said Clarke.
“He came in at the start of the season nice and bright, and lively.
“He’d obviously missed a few games because he hadn’t played much last season.
“Then he picked up this injury, which has lasted longer than expected.
“It’s taken a little bit longer for him to recover from it.
“He’s been training with the group on and off for the last three weeks.
“He’s been training permanently with the group for the last ten days.
“Now, this week in training, it’s the first time I’ve looked at him and thought ‘yeah, he’s on his way back, he’s almost ready’.”
The Albion chief has also predicted when Stephane Sessegnon finds his scoring boots he will do it in style.
“I think he’s the sort of player who creates a lot of chances for himself and his team-mates,” added Clarke.
“At the moment the chances that are falling for him he isn’t putting away.
“But somebody somewhere, at some time, will be on the receiving end of a goal blast from Stephane.
“I have no worries he’ll score if he keeps getting in the positions.”
