Matchday programme named runner-up
ALBION News, our very own matchday publication, has been named as runner-up in the Premier League's Programme of the Season 2014/15.
Programme Monthly magazine stated: "West Bromwich Albion present their programme in a varied and imaginative style. The time spent getting into their issue is invariably rewarded with some great writing.
"The main player feature is a whopping eight pages and in-depth doesn't do it justice.
"No way will anyone get through this programme cover to cover before the end of half time.
"The visitors' section is something else, four pages featuring a long narrative piece, a focus on the opposition manager and excellent images. It's far from comprehensive but it is unpredictable and far more interesting to read than the standard format.
"'Wisdom of the ages' is a four page interview feature with a past player, whilst 'Halfway House' is a series on the Baggies' semi-final appearances through the years.
"The design is varied and never dull. West Brom's issue remains a one-off and is all the better for that."
Albion News will be available for the Villa game on Saturday, priced £3. You know it makes sense.
