Squad boost for Irvine ahead of final tour match
NEW boy Andre Wisdom, Ben Foster and Craig Dawson are included in Albion’s squad for the final match of their pre-season trip to California.
The Baggies face Sacramento Republic for the second time in five days at Bonney Field on Friday (ko 7.30pm PST; Saturday, ko 3.30am BST).
It will be season-long loan signing Wisdom’s first match involvement with the Baggies, after flying into the States on Wednesday.
England keeper Foster sat out Monday’s 1-0 win after reporting back for pre-season last Wednesday while Dawson has shaken off a minor thigh problem.
However, Craig Gardner misses out after his harsh late red card four days ago.
Alan Irvine has also received welcome fitness boosts on the training ground.
Although the Republic friendly will come too soon for the midfield duo, Chris Brunt (groin) trained fully on Thursday and Friday while James Morrison (knee) joined in today’s session.
