Max Melbourne with consolation strike late on
ALBION’s Under-18 side suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at home to Sunderland in their penultimate Barclays U18 Premier League game of the season on Saturday morning.
After leading 1-0 at the break, Sunderland added a second goal at the start of the second-half before scoring twice more towards the end.
Left-wing back Max Melbourne pulled a goal back in the closing stages but it proved to be little more than a consolation on what was a disappointing day for the youngsters.
ALBION: House, Wilson, Piggott, O’Shea, Barbir, Melbourne, Dool (Meredith 60), R.Nabi, Elbouzedi, Forss, Pierce.
Unused subs: Hall, Wilding, Morrison, Harper.
