Attacker reveals his favourite position
NACER Chadli has the potential to give Albion a variety of attacking options.
The latest Baggies recruit, signed from Spurs, has agreed a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old Belgium international comes with a reputation for pace and creativity – and in a variety of positions.
He says: “I think my best position is out on the left or maybe under the striker. But I can play anywhere in midfield if asked.
“This is a great challenge and I want to show my quality to the fans and to the club. I just want to help the team win as many games as possible.”
Chadli was eager to stay in the Premier League having enjoyed a three-season stint at Tottenham during which he scored 25 goals in 119 appearances, including three in 29 games during Spurs’ acclaimed Premier League title challenge last season.
“I have learned a lot in the last three years especially how much the fans love the Premier League – that is why I was so keen to continue,” he said.
“Small teams can beat big teams on any day and it’s a great competition.
“I watched the games against Middlesbrough and it was a positive game. Albion created good chances but didn’t score. But I know from playing against them how very well organised they are and how tough they can be to beat.
“I’ve trained now for six days a week for two months so I am physically fit. I just need some game time to be at 100 per cent.”
