All the details ahead of the Saints' trip to The Hawthorns
AFTER defeat at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening, Albion will be looking to get their Premier League season back on track on Saturday as they host Southampton at The Hawthorns (ko 3pm).
The opposition
With a mid-table berth in the Premier League, an EFL Cup Final at Wembley and a run in the Europa League, most Southampton fans would consider the 2016/17 season a success. But for the injury to Manolo Gabbiadini after he had bagged four goals in his first four top-flight games, the Saints might find themselves even higher up the table than their current position of 13th. A win over the Baggies at the weekend could move Claude Puel's side up to ninth.
Last time out
A tidy finish from Matt Phillips and Hal Robson-Kanu's stunning strike gave Albion a 2-1 New Year's Eve victory on the South Coast in 2016.

Team news
Matt Phillips made his return to action at Watford meaning the Baggies have a clean bill of health heading into the clash.
Gabbiadini remains the key absentee for the Saints.
Stats
The Baggies are just six points away from their record Premier League points tally.
The clash with the Saints will be the Albion's annual 'Foundation Day' fixture - a celebration of fantastic community work done by the charity arm of the club.

Peter Odemwingie was at the double as Albion dispatched Southampton 2-0 at The Hawthorns in November 2012.
Head to head
The record between the two sides is fairly even. Albion have won 24, drawn 24 and lost 27 matches against the Saints.
