CHRIS Brunt says he feels “fortunate” to have reached 500 club career appearances - a landmark he celebrated reaching as Albion claimed a 1-0 win at Burnley.
But he 32-year-old, who has now clocked up 347 games for the Baggies, believes it’s an achievement he may not truly appreciate until he has hung up his boots.
“We’re delighted, it’s a tough place to come,” said the Northern Ireland international.
“We didn’t play overly well, we’ve played better and not come away with anything, so to come away with all three points is great.
“The fact that it came in my 500th game is a bonus.
“It’s probably something I won’t look back on until I’m finished playing and I’ll be proud of it then.
“I suppose not many players get to make 500 so I’m pretty lucky and fortunate to be in the situation that I am - in the Premier League as well - I’m delighted.”
