ALBION winger Jonathan Leko has agreed to sign for Championship club Bristol City on loan until the end of the season.
The England U19 international will join up with Lee Johnson’s team and be available for selection following the international break next weekend.
Albion head coach Tony Pulis believes the loan will be a key phase in the Academy product’s development.
“We need to get Jonathon out playing League football and at Championship level this is a great opportunity for him,” said Pulis.
Jonathan joined Albion at the age of 11 and signed his first professional contract in June 2016, agreeing a three-year-deal at The Hawthorns.
Having previously made his League Cup bow off the bench in September 2015 against Norwich City, Jonathan made his Premier League debut for the Baggies aged 16 when he appeared as a 78th-minute substitute in the goalless draw against Sunderland the following April.
He was the first player born in 1999 to make a Premier League appearance and was named Albion's Young Player of the Season at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
We wish Jonathan all the best for his time at Ashton Gate.
