ALBION suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town Ladies on Sunday in the second round of the SSE FA Women’s Cup.
Play was halted after only three minutes when Brodie Vincze dislocated her knee cap, with the game delayed for over two hours while an ambulance arrived to treat the midfielder.
Goals from Emily Heckler and Brittany Sanderson put the hosts in control when play resumed, before Sarah Danby hit a second-half hat-trick to all but seal Huddersfield’s spot in the next round of the cup.
Kate Mallin added a further goal for the home side before Heckler scored her second of the afternoon to make it seven.
Albion travel to Leicester City Women in the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division on Sunday, December 17 (ko 2pm).
