Transfer goes through after clubs agree a deal
WEST Bromwich Albion have sold striker Saido Berahino to Stoke City for an undisclosed sum.The 23-year-old forward ended a 12-year association with the Baggies after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms with Albion’s Premier League rivals.
The deal was swiftly completed after the two clubs agreed a deal earlier in the day.
Berahino’s best season for Albion came in the 2014/15 campaign when he scored 20 goals in 45 games across all competitions.
The Academy graduate made 11 appearances for England's Under-21 side, scoring 10 goals, and was called up by the Three Lions senior squad once in November 2014.
His first-team appearances this season have been restricted by fitness concerns.
