TONY Pulis says Oliver Burke is in contention to make his full Albion debut at Huddersfield Town on Saturday (ko 3pm).
The pacy winger has made two substitute appearances since joining from Red Bull Leipzig in August - but a hamstring injury in early September has denied him a first Baggies start.
And Pulis, who offered progress reports on Nacer Chadli and Craig Dawson, is also hoping to have James Morrison in his plans for Chelsea on Saturday, November 18.
“Obviously Dawson and Morrison are still struggling,” said the Baggies head coach.
“Burke has trained well this week and he is back in contention.
“James went over to Holland to see a specialist last week and I think it was decent news. Fingers crossed he’ll be up and running next week and in contention for the Chelsea game which would be a bonus for us.
“In that role behind Morrison is really strong. He gets up and down the pitch and we need him back.
“I spoke to Chadli last week and he said he felt 60 per cent after the Leicester game.
“The two games he’s played in he hasn’t felt sharp. He said he felt a bit off it.”
