JAMES Shan believes his players are ready to take on table-topping Middlesbrough in the Premier League 2 Division Two on Monday.
The under-23s boss is under no illusions about how difficult a task it will be for his young Baggies, but thinks they are up for the challenge.
"It will be a tough game for us, of course," he said.
"But we've had almost two weeks to rest, train and prepare for this fixture - which has been good.
"Middlesbrough are top of the league but they've had a slight dip in form recently across all competitions.
"We put in a really positive performance in our last game against Coventry in the Checkatrade Trophy, so hopefully we can pick up from that."
The game will take place behind closed doors at Albion's Palm Training Ground.
