CHRIS Brunt and Gareth McAuley were on hand to help launch @Youth Sandwell, a project aimed at providing free activities for people aged 8-17 in the local area.
The Albion Foundation, Krunch, YMCA Black Country Group and Complete Kidz have teamed up to create the initiative which has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
"It's a youth-style programme that we are using to engage with as many young people as we can," said Lyndsey Wyse, Engagement Coordinator for @Youth Sandwell.
"Today is about showcasing different aspects of that youth model."
The event was enhanced by the Northern Ireland internationals.
"It's about having role models and to have the footballers come in adds real depth," added Lyndsey.
After getting involved with the activities on offer, Brunt was impressed with what he saw.
"The Foundation is always helping out, it's great to have these facilities available for the kids."
