ALBION suffered a late blow after being beaten 3-2 at home to Middlesbrough Women in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division.
The Baggies fought back from behind twice against the league leaders thanks to goals from Nicole Dale and Gina Burton before a late Bianca Owens penalty secured the points for the visitors.
Both Dale and Burton came close to scoring for Albion, but it was Middlesbrough who took the lead in the 20th minute when Owens fired past Vanessa Kinnerley.
Yet the Baggies responded just three minutes later when Dale tapped home a goalbound drive from Laura Davies.
Louis Sowe's side were unfortunate not be ahead immediately after the interval when Davies found the net with a beautifully weighted volley at the back-post - only to see the goal ruled out for offside.
Instead it was the visitors who regained the lead through a sweet volley from Owens (64), before the Baggies hit back once more when Gina Burton headed home a Hannah George corner (67).
But with the game heading towards a stalemate, Boro were awarded an 84th minute penalty which Owens converted for the hat-trick sealing all three points for the North East side.
