ALBION were knocked out of the SSE Women’s FA Cup Second Round after being beaten 5-4 on penalties away to Bolton Wanderers Ladies following a 2-2 draw.
The sides couldn't be separated over 120 minutes, but it was Louis Sowe’s side who suffered defeat for only the second time this season.
Harriet James put the Baggies ahead with a sublime 20-yard chip, before the hosts turned the game on its head to lead 2-1.
But Albion’s never-say-die attitude was shown once again when Laura Davies popped up to head home a free-kick sending the game into Extra Time, before the Baggies were eventually beaten on spot-kicks.
Albion visit Sutton Coldfield Town FC Ladies in the Birmingham FA County Cup Third Round next Sunday, 16th December (ko 2pm).
