ALBION's youngsters progressed to the quarter finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup courtesy of a 1-0 win over holders Leamington on Monday evening.
Jonathan Leko scored the only goal of the game at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium to give James Shan's side safe passage to the last eight of the competition.
The Baggies got off to a flying start, Zak Brown playing Evan Pierce through on goal, only to be denied by a fine stop from Leamington 'keeper Tony Breeden.
But it took Albion to the stroke of half time to make their dominance count. A fine run from Jamie Soule was finished off by Leko who fired between Breeden's legs to open the scoring.
The first-team star could have added a second late on but was unable to beat the busy Brakes stopper at his near post.
Ben Pierce then denied Kurtis Revan in the final throws to preserve his clean sheet and set up a quarter-final tie with Alvechurch.
