EGYPT international Ali Gabr joins Albion with a wealth of experience after a glittering career in his native Egypt.
The towering defender started his career at Ismaily SC before going on to play for Ittihad Alexandria in 2012.
After two seasons, Gabr then signed for Egyptian giants Zamalek in June 2014 where he went on to complete a domestic double in his first campaign.
With Gabr at the heart of their defence, Zamalek lifted the Egyptian Super Cup and retain the Egyptian Cup in the following 2015/16 campaign.
The 29-year-old has been capped 18 times by the Egypt national team and has regularly lined-up alongside current Baggies defender and friend Ahmed Hegazi.
The pair helped the Pharaohs reach the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final, before securing qualification for their first FIFA World Cup since 1990 last October.
