JONNY Evans will be carefully monitored by Albion's medical team in the coming days after the defender suffered a concussion in Saturday’s draw at Everton.
Evans left the field in the 80th minute at Goodison Park but is expected to make a swift recovery as the Baggies approach a busy domestic period.
Alan Pardew's men are set for three games in seven days, with an FA Cup tie under the lights at Anfield coming before Premier League clashes against Manchester City and Southampton.
And Albion's Director of Performance, Dr Mark Gillett, said medical staff will take every necessary precaution to ensure Jonny is fit for action - just as they did with Craig Dawson and Ahmed Hegazi last week.
"Jonny suffered a concussion at Everton and will be carefully monitored this week," he said.
"We have to go through all the procedures that happen with a head injury but hopefully he will recover quickly."
