JAY Rodriguez says Albion’s FA Cup fourth-round victory at Anfield will live long in the memory.
The Baggies striker scored twice as Alan Pardew’s men recorded a memorable 3-2 win on Merseyside.
And Rodriguez says the Liverpool triumph - the first game Albion have played with a Video Assistant Referee - will stay with him long after he has hung up his boots.
“Today is a performance that will stay with us forever,” he said.
“It’s an amazing feeling to come here and win against this fantastic Liverpool side.
“The togetherness that we showed on the pitch, to come here and get the win, in the way we did it, I think it’s credit to the lads.
“We started the game well and it was an unfortunate goal to go behind to and it was crucial to get a goal back quickly.
“It was a strange one because the VAR was a new experience but we need to get used to it and I thought the lads did really well to stay focussed.
“The goals are coming. I think we’ve always believed they would and we need to just keep that going. We need to work hard to keep that going on the training field and put it into practice in games.”
