MAX Melbourne will continue his fight for first team football at Barnet on Saturday after signing a new deal at Albion.
The 19-year-old defender, who’s enjoyed over ten years at the Club, has penned a two-year deal.
Melbourne joined up with the first-team squad for their pre-season trip to Portugal last week having spent the second half of last season on loan at Scottish side Ross County.
“I’m delighted to sign a new deal here and I’m really looking forward to getting started now,” said Max.
“I’ve been here since I was eight, West Brom has been a big part of my life. I’ve worked my way up the ranks and now I’m looking to break into first-team football.”
The promising youngster will be among a squad made up of both senior and under-23 players when the Baggies play their first pre-season friendly at The Hive this weekend, where Darren Moore is intending to give all the players an opportunity to get some minutes under their belt.
