JONNY Evans faces a race against time to be in contention for Albion’s Premier League clash with Leicester City on Saturday.
In his weekly media address, Head Coach Alan Pardew confirmed that the Northern Ireland international has been suffering with a virus this week and may not make the squad to take on the Foxes.
"Jonny Evans is a big doubt having been sick for the last few days," he said. "It's a virus, but it hasn't affected anyone else so they're all available."
The Baggies boss also gave an update on long-term absentees, confirming that Hal Robson-Kanu will be returning to the fold at the weekend.
"Gareth Barry won't make the game. The guys who've been out are still out, but Hal Robson-Kanu is back.
"Daniel Sturridge is getting closer. He'll probably miss Bournemouth which is a shame. But the game after - obviously the international break comes after that - he should be good to go. It'll give us a good chance to put some work into him."
