ALBION's official blind team have won the National Blind League.
The Baggies headed to 'The Royal National College for Blind People' in Hereford on Saturday for their final round of league fixtures needing just one point to be crowned league champions.
And after two wins in their two games, Albion were finally able to pop open the champagne and celebrate after weeks of expectation.
"We are really really proud of the team that we have got and winning the league today makes it even more brilliant for us," said Richard Henderson, a Disability Coach at The Albion Foundation.
"For us to be involved in such a great sport and to be one of the few teams is a really big thing."
Saturday's title win was the reward for a season of hard work and determination, with WBA Blind starlet Mo Ahmed attributing the campaign's success to the bond within the Baggies ranks.
"We're a really close team," said 19-year-old Mo.
"If we lose then obviously we are down, but we lose as a team and we win as a team like we have done today.
"We defended really well and that comes from having that team ethic."
