HAL Robson-Kanu was delighted to play a big part in Albion’s scintillating win over high-flying Leeds United at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
The Baggies forward, who made the starting XI in the Sky Bet Championship for the first time since the opening day, fired home the Baggies’ first goal of the night as they swept Leeds aside.
Robson-Kanu delivered a powerful and confident display on his return to the side and the former Wales international is eager to make more of an impact as the season progresses.
He said: “I’ve had to be patient.
“We have a fantastic squad here full of Premier League experience and we know what we can do, particularly in this division.
“For me, it’s important that I keep getting minutes and to keep performing.
“It was really nice to get a goal.
“We really hurt them on the transitions today.
“Jay slid me in and I just focused on hitting the ball across the goal and into the side of the net.
“Our focus now is firmly set on keeping this momentum going.”
