OLIVER Burke has withdrawn from Scotland Under-21s duty because of a sore knee.
Olly, who starred for Scotland’s youngsters in the Toulon Tournament during the summer, was due to play against Andorra at Tynecastle on Thursday night.
But he reported a slight soreness in the knee and following discussions with Albion it was agreed not to take any risks.
Andy Leaver, Albion’s Head of Sports Science and Medicine, fully expects the player to be available when the Baggies pick up their Championship campaign at Birmingham City a week on Friday.
He said: “It was a sensible precaution to take as there was just a little soreness which Olly felt and all parties agreed it was best not to play.”
