The Ben Pierce Foundation is inviting you to support young children with cancer by taking part in their golf day on Friday, May 10.
The Foundation was formed last August and is the brainchild of young Albion shot-stopper Ben Pierce, who is determined to make a positive impact in the community by raising funds to help children in their fight against cancer.
After a successful inaugural golf day, in which they aimed to raise £2,500 but eventually accumulated nearly £6,000, Ben is now looking to raise nearly double the amount they achieved at last year’s event.
The golf day will be held at The Tytherington Club in Macclesfield and you can get involved as a player or a sponsor. A team of four can be entered for £260, or you can sponsor a hole and enjoy dinner on the evening for £100. Full details of the golf day can be found here.
“We want the day to be bigger and better than last year,” said Ben.
“We want more teams, we want more sponsors, we want it to go bigger and better and we want it to grow quickly.
“We want to leave a lasting impression with what we do. We want to spend the money raised in a way that it will have longevity and help children year on year.
“It’s a project and a mission that me and my team have started because we want to make a difference. We can never do enough.
“If you’re out there wondering why you should support it, then you should support it because if you get involved with our golf day then you are helping to make a difference in young children’s lives in a battle in which they need all the help they can get.
“I urge you to come down and see the golf day and witness the love and togetherness of everyone that is involved in the day. You will feel like you’re a part of the Foundation and you are making a difference.”
