Albion’s PL2 side secured a second victory this week with a comfortable win against Sunderland at The Hawthorns on Friday night.
The young Baggies, who beat Fulham 3-1 on Monday, helped themselves to six PL2 points in four days thanks to braces from Chris Willock and Jamie Soule, while individual efforts from Rayhaan Tulloch and Finn Azaz added to the advantage.
Michael Appleton made just one change from his team on Monday, with Josh Griffiths replacing Brad House in goal.
Albion fired in an early opener as Soule capitalised on a misplaced pass before an exchange with Tulloch left him free to tuck home into an open net.
The scorer turned provider as the Albion forward raced down the wing to tee up Willock who converted comfortably from close range.
Then, moments after scoring his first the forward bagged his second by latching on to a Jack Fitzwater free-kick, which he delicately brought down before dispatching past Anthony Patterson in the Sunderland net.
Tulloch fired in Albion's fourth before the break. The young striker accelerated past a defender before shooting across the ‘keeper into the corner of the net.
In the second half, Azaz curled in a sublime strike from the edge of the box, which was followed by Soule's second and the Baggies’ sixth after more impressive work from Willock.
