Albion Under-18s were beaten 7-3 by Everton at Finch Farm in a Premier League North clash on Saturday.
The young Baggies raced into a two-goal lead inside seven minutes thanks to strikes from Jovan Malcolm and Lewis Smith, but were pegged back before the break by Thomas Cannon and Tyler Onyango.
Just before the hour mark Lewis Dobbin put the Toffees in front for the first time before Cannon, Sebastian Quirk and Rhys Hughes extended their advantage even further.
Finley Thorndike netted Albion’s third five minutes from time, though Everton sealed the three points and the scoreline with Dobbin’s injury time effort.
