Albion Under-18s responded to their mid-week Premier League Cup defeat against Manchester United in the week by hitting five past the Red Devils in an impressive victory at the training ground.
Ricoh Richards fired the young Baggies ahead after 20 minutes, with Jovan Malcolm stretching the advantage just before the break - although Charlie McCann netted a penalty late on in the first half to reduce the arrears.
The visitors levelled the score in the 54th minute through Mark Helm, but Richards struck back instantly for Peter Gilbert’s side to restore Albion’s advantage.
Helm once again got the Red Devils back on level terms with just more than 20 minutes to play, but Alex Gilbert scored a penalty to put the Baggies ahead once more.
This time, the hosts kept and stretched their lead as Richards completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute, rounding off a commendable performance from the Throstles.
