Albion came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.
The Latics had a number of opportunities in the first-half but had to wait until after the interval to break the deadlock with captain Sam Morsy scoring from distance.
Charlie Austin levelled for the Baggies just shy of the hour mark with Albion taking full advantage of an indirect free-kick only yards from the Wigan goal.
Slaven Bilić made four changes to his starting XI as Conor Townsend, Kyle Edwards, Filip Krovinović and Charlie Austin all came in for Kieran Gibbs, Grady Diangana, Matheus Pereira and Hal Robson-Kanu.
But it was Wigan who had the stronger opening 20 minutes, putting the Baggies defence under pressure and going closest to a clear-cut chance when Kyle Bartley had to superbly tackle Latics forward Josh Windass as he look to sneak in behind.
Just ahead of the half-hour mark the home side forced Sam Johnstone into action for the first time, but Albion’s shot-stopper was at his very best to produce a brilliant double-save from Windass and then Jamal Lowe.
With the break approaching Wigan again caused Slaven’s side problems, Gavin Massey’s header nearly looping in after he got on the end of a dangerous Lee Evans cross.
And straight after half-time it was the hosts who opened the scoring - Morsy’s long-range effort coming back off the post and onto the unfortunate Johnstone before dribbling over the line.
They nearly doubled their advantage minutes later, Michael Jacobs smacking the crossbar, but instead it was Albion who found an equaliser in bizarre fashion on 59 minutes. A Wigan back-pass was punished by referee Andy Davies, with Austin making no mistake from Livermore's eight-yard roll back.
Despite the leveller Slaven continued with a pre-planned triple substitution as Darnell Furlong, Matheus Pereira and Hal Robson-Kanu all came on for the final third of the match.
And one of his changes twice troubled the Wigan back-line, Robson-Kanu so nearly taking the ball around stopper Jones to slot home and also heading a good cross straight at the Athletic keeper.
The Baggies were given a couple of let-offs late on when Massey had to be denied by Johnstone before Morsy curled narrowly wide, but in the end the sides had to settle for a point each.
