Albion have reached the FA Women’s National League Plate Semi-final following a 1-0 victory over Barnsley Ladies.
Louis Sowe’s side extended their unbeaten run after Hannah George’s 35-yard strike secured victory for the Baggies and their name in the hat for the next round.
Albion knew they were up against tough opposition before heading to Yorkshire as The Reds had not been beaten since late September. Player of the Month, Scarlett Field, had her work cut out for her early on – but did well to hold off the Barnsley threat.
George’s third goal of the season came in the 83rd minute of the game after her wicked left footed strike found the back of the net following a free-kick – much to the delight of the away crowd.
