Jay Rodriguez scooped the December award with his superb volley against Wigan but there’s no place for him on the first shortlist of 2019.
Kyle Edwards kicks things off with his derby strike against Wolves in PL2, with fellow youngster Morgan Rogers also featuring for his FA Youth Cup goal in the 5-1 victory over QPR.
Dwight Gayle’s strike against Norwich is also on the list, as well as Sam Field’s smart finish at Bolton.
