JOIN a group of Foundation fundraisers and fanatical Albion supporters as they attempt a 165-mile cycle from Preston North End's Deepdale Stadium to The Hawthorns to complete the Baggies Bike Challenge 2019.
If you would like to register your interest for the challenge, download and complete the attached form here and send to Steve Meeson at steve.meeson@albionfoundation.co.uk.
Sponsored by Bache Group, Pertemps and MacDonalds Hotels, the challenge will kick off on Wednesday, April 10, returning to The Hawthorns in time for the game against Preston North End on Saturday, April 13.
Supporters are welcomed to take on the gruelling cycle or to volunteer and support the group, which will include the inspirational 'Blind Dave' Heeley and 'Super Bob' Taylor, who are regulars on the challenge.
The Baggies Bike Challenge is now in its fifth year and has been an important fundraiser for the Foundation, allowing the charity to continue its award-winning work in the community.
Riders will cycle from Preston's Deepdale Stadium back to the Black Country via Whitchurch and Birmingham city centre, backed by a support team who will be on hand to assist with any problems.
The group will meet on the Wednesday and travel to Preston. On the Thursday the group will start the cycle, travelling around 70 miles to Whitchurch in Shropshire.
On Friday, the fundraisers will travel another 70 miles from Whitchurch to Birmingham city centre - with the cycle being completed on the Saturday with a 25 mile ride from Birmingham to The Hawthorns via Sutton Coldfield.
To join the trip as a cyclist, all you need to do is pay a £100 deposit to secure your place on the ride, which will cover transportation to Preston, accommodation, lunches during the event and a cycle challenge t-shirt, and then raise a minimum of £600 in sponsorship.
Any funds raised over this amount will be gratefully received by The Albion Foundation.
