ALBION booked their place into the fourth round of the FA Women’s National League Plate following a 2-1 victory over Sporting Khalsa Women at the Aspray Arena.
Goals from Lauren Price and Natalie Murray secured the victory for the Baggies as the Willenhall-based side opened up the lead with a goal within the first five minutes.
It was an end to end affair throughout the 90 minutes as Price responded with an immediate equaliser following her excellent toe-poking finish on the edge of the 18-yard area.
The Baggies went from strength to strength and managed to force the Sporting Khalsa goalkeeper into a couple of fine saves. One of which found her rushing off her line to deny Harriet James from point blank range.
Louis Sowe’s side grabbed their second in a vital moment during the second half, as Murray’s low strike went underneath the ‘keeper and into the far corner of the net allowing West Brom a place in the next round of the Vase and to start 2019 off with a convincing win.
