Albion Under-23s played out a stalemate at Aggborough Stadium against Fulham Under-23s in the Premier League 2 Division Two.
The visitors went close twice early on, and the Baggies also had a chance to break the deadlock after a Morgan Rogers free-kick hit the wall, allowing Albion to recycle the ball, with Samuel Wilding firing a volley from the edge of the box just over the bar.
Albion 'keeper Brad House had to be at his best to keep the Cottagers out, saving a Nicholas Santos Clause penalty after Jayden Harris was felled by Nathan Ferguson.
After the break, the Baggies nearly put themselves into the lead when Wilding rounded George Wickens, but the Albion midfielder's shot hit the side-netting.
Albion had claims for a penalty waved away when they were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box after Stanley Asomugha was brought down by Wickens. However, Fulham's 'keeper was booked and Albion were awarded a free-kick - which Rogers fired into the arms of Wickens.
The Baggies pushed forward again; Max Melbourne burst past a host of Fulham defenders before his powerful low drive was turned wide for a corner.
Fulham also had opportunites, with Jerome Opoku heading over from a corner and Sonny Hilton hitting a shot from distance to try and open the scoring.
