Albion have reached out to the family of Rob Spray to offer support following the death of the young Baggies fan in Bulgaria this week.
The Baggies have been in contact with the family and friends to arrange a salute to the 32-year-old Birmingham Road End season-ticket holder at Tuesday night’s home clash against Barnsley at The Hawthorns.
Rob’s parents Malcolm and Jillian, his sister Katie and family members will be guests of the Club for the game while his friends will collect an Albion shirt, signed by the players, to place on his seat before kick-off.
There will also be a full tribute in matchday programme, Albion News, and on the big screens at half-time.
Social media tributes poured in for the HGV driver from Heath Hayes and a fund-raising appeal by the family to help repatriate Rob has already raised more than £22,000. The gofundme page can be found, here.
Katie, who is leading the family’s efforts to discover the circumstances surrounding her brother’s death, said: “The support from everyone has been wonderful and we cannot thank them enough.
“Rob absolutely loved The Hawthorns and Albion – the club meant everything to him.”
