Albion can today confirm the addition of young French striker Cheikh Diaby.
The 19-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the season, with an option for a second year, after impressing Head Coach Slaven Bilić in a week-long training stint.
Cheikh arrives at The Hawthorns from Le Havre's acclaimed Academy after his contract expired with the French club this summer. A deal to join Valencia then fell through, following a change of management at the Spanish club.
Albion will look to bring the pacey frontman up to speed with game time in the Under-23s. Sporting & Technical Director Luke Dowling said: "We have taken an opportunity to give a promising young striker the chance to develop with us. We will see what the future will bring."
